I created this site because the bulk of today's recipe websites prioritize SEO (see here if this term is new to you) and ad revenue.
It has also become a meme in itself that, when visiting the page for a recipe, you are first presented with a near-complete autobiography about the recipe author.
This site is meant to be a refuge from the bloated garbage that is modern recipe websites. I am not maintaining some silly blog, nor do I utilize any sort of ad revenue or perform any other tracking of your activity as you browse my site; I do not care to know.
Additionally, if you are like me, you have a multitude of recipes across various sources, and would rather have a single website to access your favorite recipes!
You can view and create recipes! You can also view and create menus!
A menu acts as a collection of recipes. Every week, I try to plan out the coming week's meals - and so, before creating this site, I would open up Notepad on Windows, find 3-5 random recipes to prepare for the week, copy/paste the link to that recipe, and then email it to myself.
Now, I no longer need to go through that process. Instead, I create a menu here, I give it a name (typically just "Dinners" + the month/starting day of the week), I add any new recipes to the site, then add those to my menu. No more Notepad and emails! I admit that it is a bit of a niche feature, but it is what I needed, so that is what I have!
That is awesome! If you are having some issue or have an idea for something you would like to see here, please get in touch here and let me know!
